On April 3rd, the Envenio team headed to the Palais des Congrès de Montréal for the Aerospace Innovation Hub, organized jointly by Starburst Accelerator and Innovitech, and supported by Aero Montreal. The event was a huge success, and Envenio was rated highly by those in attendance.

As one of 11 specially selected start-up companies, Envenio showcased their overall business and software technology – EXN/Aero, to a number of prestigious, global companies - Panasonic, Boeing, Rolls Royce, BAE Systems, SITA, Accuron Technologies, Raytheon, Lufthansa Technik, and Liebherr, who each got the chance to rate each start-up according to factors such as innovation, team, and quality of product.

The event offered each start-up an exciting opportunity to present and network, and CEO, Ian McLeod and VP, Scott Walton were Envenio’s key representatives.

Following a successful pitch, Envenio scored highly in innovation and desire to work with, and was named in the top 3 of the ‘desire to work with’ category.

The other start-up companies in attendance included Trackwise, QRA, VersaBuilt, Agile Sensors, Diota, ATIQC, Pointr, Alizem, Stiral and 3D Semantix, all showcasing their exciting future plans.

The Aerospace Innovation Hub has certainly presented an exciting future for the aerospace sector, with an expansive talent pool on display at this one event alone. Advances in technology and innovation are matched with enthusiasm and dedication, and this is sure to reap the rewards for the aerospace sector, as well as the wider engineering community.

“We were hugely privileged to have been chosen to present at Aerospace Innovation Hub” says Scott Walton, Envenio VP.

“The event gave us a superb opportunity to meet likeminded start-ups, share experiences, and pitch to some of the world’s largest and most respected aerospace organizations. These kind of networking events are essential for the future growth and success of the industry” he adds.

As a company committed to such growth, Starburst Accelerator provides access to funding from the top venture capital firms dedicated to aerospace, defense and security, as well as access to the largest aerospace group stakeholders.

About EXN/Aero

EXN/Aero is a CFD simulation tool that uses computing hardware more efficiently than other CFD products. The end result is strong speed ups (10-20x) which enables engineers to run faster simulations, larger or higher resolution simulations, and to reduce their cost of simulations. It is available for install on a local workstation or cluster, or via the cloud as an on-demand solution (where the user only pays by the hour and does not need an annual license).
